An SUV struck and killed a bicyclist on eastbound Clairemont Mesa Boulevard Thursday night. The Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the name of the bicyclist, but identified him as a 53-year-old San Diego resident. The incident occurred at about 5:50 p.m near the onramp to south Interstate 805. Officers claim the cyclist was riding west
of the freeway and veered left in front of the Nissan Pathfinder. The cyclist died at the scene.
