Over the weekend a man driving a BMW displayed a horrific act of road rage as he intentionally swerved into a motorcycle with two passengers and sent them flying. This incident occurred on Saturday evening, May 18, 2013 on the Coronado Bay Bridge in San Diego, CA.
Police reported that an off duty officer witnessed the whole thing, starting with an unfriendly exchange of hand gestures and words from both drivers. The driver of the BMW had been cutting in an out of traffic, almost hitting the off duty officer and another car. After the collision, the driver of the BMW attempted to leave the scene and was chased by the off duty officer. The driver,who remains unnamed, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
Meanwhile, the two passengers of the motorcycle were transported to UCSD Medical center to be treat for injuries that were said to be non-life threatening.
